Radica Randela, also known as Randy Peterson, will reign for the coming year, replacing outgoing Miss Manannah Josephina, a.k.a. Joe Jans.

Lorie Line, known for her spectacular holiday show, is bringing what she calls her "jamming casual" show with five of her favorite musicians to the Hutchinson High School auditorium, at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14.

"I love the big holiday production, but the smaller, intimate show in the smaller towns is my favorite concert," says Line. "It's a chance for the audience to really get to know me, to hear my original compositions and my favorite standards (instead of holiday songs) and to hear all the fun stories that go behind the music."

In August 2005, the Minnesota Historical Society marked the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II by launching the Minnesota’s Greatest Generation Project. As a capstone to the project, the Society is opening a long-term, 6,000 square-foot exhibit on May 23, 2009, at the Minnesota History Center titled "Minnesota’s Greatest Generation: the Depression, the War, the Boom."



D-C Theatre to hold auditions for summer musical

Dassel-Cokato Community Theatre will have auditions for its summer musical “Little Me” on May 23 and 30.

Auditions are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. both May 23 and 30 at Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center, located on the northeast corner of the Dassel-Cokato High School. Adult actors are sought.

Rehearsals will begin in early June. Performance dates are July 10, 11, 18 and 19. This production is co-sponsored by Dassel-Cokato Community Education and the Dassel-Cokato Arts Association.
