Descendants of a Dakota Indian chief will speak Sunday at the Litchfield G.A.R. Hall.
Verna Francisco and Rose Galkowsky are the great-granddaughters of Standing Buffalo, an instrumental figure in the Dakota Conflict of 1862.
The women have family history on both sides of the Dakota Conflict and will speak about Dakota Indian heritage at 1:30 p.m Sunday at the hall, 308 N. Marshall Ave.
