Litchfield Rescue Squad responded to two accidents in less than an hour Saturday morning. Both included injuries.
The first accident happened at 11 a.m. at the intersection of North Gilman Avenue and East 5th Street, according to the Litchfield Police Department. The first vehicle, a 1994 Buick, was driven by Ronald Jerome Drange of Litchfield. The second vehicle, a 1992 Pontiac was driven by Steven Michael Mentuis of Litchfield.
Mentuis and an 11-year-old passenger were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Meeker County Memorial Hospital, according to Litchfield officer Gary Gruenke. Both were treated and released.
At 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Gold Cross Ambulance and Litchfield Rescue responded to a motorcycle-car accident at Precision Drive and US Highway 12, Litchfield.
William Lee Zivkovich, 53, of Litchfield was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson that collided with a 2002 Lincoln driven by Arlene Williams of Litchfield. Zivkovich, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to MCMH where he was treated and released, Gruenke said.
