Two Litchfield doubles teams and singles player Lauren Mergen survived the Section 5A-East tournament Oct. 8 in Glencoe.

Mergen went 2-1 in singles action, finishing third in the sub-section.

Mergen will take on Ashley Trulock of MACCRAY in the Section 5A quarterfinals at 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at Gold's Gym in St. Cloud.

Litchfield's Chelsie McGraw and Brenna Johnson also finished 2-1 and placed second in sub-section play.

McGraw and Johnson will play Emily Emdieke and Bridget Bergeson from New London-Spicer in the section quarterfinals.

Litchfield's Lizzie Johnson and Ellie Black were 2-1 in sub-section doubles action and finished third overall.

Johnson and Black will take on Stacey Engelmeyer and Ali Kociemba of Melrose in the Section 5A quarterfinals.
