The 52nd annual Watercade celebration has come to close in Litchfield. But take a look back at Watercade 2008 in photos.

Miss Litchfield 2008-09 Ashley Krug was crowned Sunday night in the high school gymnasium. Also, crowned were princesses Kayti Warpula and Natasha Reed. Watch a slideshow of photos from the event.

Children from around the area enjoy the baseball and softball programs put on by Litchfield Community Education every summer. There are four skill levels in which boys and girls can participate, beginning at age four and progressing through grade six. See a slideshow here of photos from a recent practice.

The Litchfield High School Marching Band entertained area residents June 26 with its annual Pie in the Park performance down Sibley Avenue. The band, which had a very successful season, leaves Tuesday for a week-long trip to Nashville, Tenn. Read about the band's season in the July 3 Independent Review.

Residents of Emmanuel Home were visited by many children and pets on June 27 for the pet parade put on by Community Education. Cats, dogs, bunnies, and fish were among the animals that the residents were able to see, pet and hold, and children received ribbons for showing their pets.
