A letter from Larry Van Horn, vice president of operations for Minnesota Pipeline Co., was presented at the Nov. 18 Meeker County Board meeting.

Van Horn reported that the pipeline project, which crossed through a portion of Meeker County, began operation Oct. 31.

The new pipeline, Van Horn said, increases the capacity of the Minnesota Pipeline Co. to deliver crude oil to Twin Cities refineries by 165,000 barrels a day.

He expressed thanks to the county for its cooperation as the project was planned, permitted and constructed.
