The fourth and final Greenleaf State Recreation Area Citizens Advisory Committee meeting with Department of Natural Resources officials will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, at the Meeker County Courthouse in Litchfield.
The CAC has been meeting with DNR officials since April to develop recommendations to be considered for inclusion in the recreation area master plan.
Cathi Fouchi, DNR regional planner at New Ulm, said the agenda for the final meeting will focus on SRA operations such as when the SRA will be open for public use, potential staffing levels, potential for boundary changes and situations that could result in amending the master plan in the future.
After the first draft of the master plan is completed, a second public open house and comment period will be held, probably in mid- to late-September, Fouchi said. Interested citizens can check DNR’s calendar of events on the DNR website at http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/index.html or contact Fouchi at (507) 359-6034 for additional information.
