Voters must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a Minnesota resident for at least 20 days before the election and not convicted of a felony or treason. In the primary election, voters are allowed to vote for one party only.

Voters can register on Election Day with proof of residence, including Minnesota driver’s license, learner’s permit, identification card, or receipt for one, with your current address, notice of late registration, U.S. passport with utility bill, U.S. military photo ID card with utility bill or oath of a registered voter in precinct, known as “vouching.”

Ellsworth Township is the lone entity to change polling venues from 2006. Voters will meet at the Twine Ball Museum in Darwin for the primary election as the new town hall is under construction. It is expected to be completed by the November general election.
