Yet another ridiculous and fictitious rumor based on nothing.

A couple of you harped on others about their credibility....you better go look in a mirror.

You guys are SO FAR OFF BASE it is ridiculous. By no means did the incident described above happen like that. Your story isnt even remotely close. Also, he resided in STEARNS CO at the time, EVERYTHING took place in Stearns co, NOT meeker co. Stearns Co declined to press any charges. He was also a part time Meeker deputy when this happened, guess what, he never worked a shift for meeker co again.

Get your facts straight before you make ridiculous and fictitious posts.

Oh yeah, this happened over 10 yrs ago, not 3.

Dont you think that if anything were to happen right now that the admin. would be there first suspects? the FBI wont say who you are. If you dont thats ok I understand your dilema.I was told by my privet detective thats how they operate is with fear and in the over 20 plus yrs he's been in business never has anything occured to him because he didnt let fear win out!

justice seeker: NO WAY! I am NOT a county employee! I wouldn't want to be associated with the agencies here, at least the way they are now. Because I have "spoken out" about things in the past, they probably wouldn't hire me anyway.

I am sure that many current and former small businesses have NSF checks from customers. That's why I have some.

And no, I did not go to the FBI. Frankly, I am much too afraid to speak out about what I have seen. Being intimidated by people in authority has caused me much grief and it frightened me; now I prefer to "lay low". Call me a coward if you want to, but I am just too afraid to stand up by myself on these issues.

When your post said that he didn't pay a bill, I immediately thought of the bad check I have here.

What was he put in jail for then?

I cannot turn in the bad check because the sheriff's office requires that there be certain procedures followed, such as the employee who took the check must have checked the person's driver's licenese number, etc. Unfortunately, my employee did not follow procedure and as a result, this person get away with ripping me off.

I did not intend for my post to be a "stone throw." I was only stating a fact. I apologize if that's what it seemed like. People who speak out like you do help put criminals away - and for that I thank you.

There are many sheriff and police departments that collect on bad checks for businesses. That is not uncommon. You mention a person with the initials B.S. Did B.S spend time in jail for writing (and not paying) bad checks? If so, the jail time was deserved. I know he has other bad checks out there. In fact, I have one from him right here on my desk.

As I've said before, I know about a ton of corruption going on and I am anxious to see people held accountable for it. But if there is someone who is breaking the law, they deserve the consequences. As for that police chief, if he held a gun on his wife, he should NOT still be in office! That's the kind of thing that needs to stop. But that is quite different from people like B.S who write bad checks and then don't pay up.

I know all your dirty little secrets Meeker county.Here is another story about justice.Friends go pull a gun on you wife. Tell her your going to kill her. I would bet you would be doing jail time. lots of it also. Lets see there is a town north of us that had this happen. Eden valley I think the town is. The guy that did this is also the chief of police. I heard it was a big broom to sweep this problem away. oh I still think hes the chief of police yet. also ask why the police department changed there tires every 6ooo miles instead of every 12000 miles. But hell were paying the bill. This runs from tangen to litchfield chrysler. To the body shop come on how often do the cop cars need body work. One big pluss in litchfield if your friends with the police they will collect debts for you.They will threaten you with jail or pay your bill. Now our beloved police department deals in collections. Names ask Brad spain he spent time in jail for not paying a bill.

Meeker County Board members approved a request from Meeker County Sheriff Mike Hirman last week to add a seventh full-time sheriff’s deputy.
Hirman said he planned to include the extra deputy position in his 2008 budget but would like to advertise for the position and hire someone as soon as October.
Hirman also asked the board for permission to expand the department’s K-9 unit. The department currently has one canine, a drug-sniffing dog handled by Deputy John Toma, and a second deputy has expressed interest in getting a dog.
